ME+EM // MANCHESTER
ME+EM - Manchester
Photographed to document the opening of ME+EM’s Manchester store, capturing the interior design scheme and how the brand’s retail language translates into a new city context.
The space reflects ME+EM’s understated approach to luxury retail, combining restrained material finishes, custom fittings and carefully considered spatial proportions. The design prioritises clarity and calm, allowing the collections to sit naturally within the architecture rather than compete with it.
The project was photographed around the store opening, requiring sensitivity to live retail conditions, tight access windows and consistency with established brand imagery. Particular attention was given to material detail, joinery, lighting balance and the relationship between product displays and the surrounding space.
The photographic approach focuses on a balance between wider spatial context and more intimate detail, documenting how the store functions as a cohesive environment while also capturing the tactile qualities that define the brand experience.
The final images were produced for press use, brand communications and internal documentation, forming part of ME+EM’s wider visual archive of retail spaces across the UK. This project sits within an ongoing body of work photographing design-led retail and commercial interiors.
